This January, Voices Rising will perform a concert titled "In Her Own Words"-- a concert celebrating the written word of women.

Through song, the women of Voices Rising will highlight poets such as Audre Lorde, Emily Dickinson, Lucille Clifton, and Sappho, as well as songwriters, including Bernice Johnson Reagon and Dorothy Fields.
